I guess avoiding hazards it’s not more an advantage of electric cars, as seen in this video of Tesla Model S burned to the ground.
The accident took place few days ago and according to the owner he left the car plugged into the Supercharger station.
Since the car uses Lithium-Ion batteries the firefighters had to use special chemical solution. Good thing nobody was hurt.
Tesla has yet to investigate thi cams and has to come up with a solution if needed.
This is not the first case of Tesla model setting on fire. Back in 2013 a pair of Model S that crashed suffered a severe damage that led to the car catching fire!
